what do you like most about life??

each time i meet a new perosn, the third or the fourth question i ask that person is " what do
they like most about their life.."

some people dismiss it thinking i m just a crazy kid.. with stupid thoughts and a lot of freetime..

i dont want to stop them from thinking so.. neither do i want to even attempt to do so..

i want to share with you some of the answers that I really liked..

my best friend told me.. after a lot of contemplation over dinner.. " i like the the way the humans connect to each other.."

its such a beautiful and true thought... say for a simple and latest instance... jhumpa lahiri imagined and wrote the namesake.. Mira Nair.. read it.. was touched by the thought of a woman to the extent that she made a movie on it.. And we went to watch that movie and cried in the cinema hall.. the silent tears at the loss of the Gogol's father and the betrayal of his wife. .. is it simply not amazing that.. a woman i never knew existed imagined and wrote .. and i unaware of her being, watched a movie and cried..

so true were my friends words...

one of my senior's in college told me that the best thing about life in his view is the "ability to forget things.."

can u recall the most trivial of fights and all the bad things people have done to you and you did to people... gosh!!!! i thank GOD for the gift of forgetting : )

some one told me the feeling of being loved is the best thing about life...
and it is indeed a feeling that makes you feel so pure and light...

i also got in reply .. the feeling of the morning sun on my face... the whisper of the wind in my ear.. peace ..

The reason why I ask this to people is cause it makes me feel happy for there are so many things in life that I can cherish although there will always be more that i'd want...

What i like most about life is passion and the fact that there are no reverse gears in life..

What do you like most about life??

Problem of plenty i guess!!.. difficult to answer..
"life" itself is the best part of life!!!.. the moment 'life' is removed from life.. its all over...

to understand this, read comment one!!

best thing about life ?
... that it goes on ...

a setback, an upset, a heartbreak, a broken limb, a distraught mind, an infected body, failure, death ... irrespective of all that everyday a new sun rises, to give you the warmth that every dusk is followed by a dawn.

Life is not a curse, as many would still believe. Mokshaa, I think, would be one. One of the many things I adore about the gift of life, is the ability to touch the lives of many around you. I feel, God gives us so many years to change the crying side. When we arrive, we do it. And life is the "chance" you get to make others do it when you depart. A sadistic thought, but I feel it's very true. For if you are not able to make that change, you have not lived life's worth.

Making a difference to your own life is not easy, but if you try hard enough, you WILL be able to make it happen. Touching numerous lives, is hardly in your control. It's your soul who does that, not you. And that done, I think, is the most beautiful return gift. You smile. And live on. You, made a difference. You, found a place in another person's heart. Your soul, evolved...

i think its the ability to enjoy a drink and two. when i was first asked this question i said "its the oppurtunity a human life provides to achieve the ultimate goal - to realize the self". but today i think the first step to that is to reach a state of mind which is much higher than what we normally are in our day to day life. and a drink or two i believe does take u closer to that sate of mind. alternatively meditation too does ... but then for those who are good at it.

the sense of belonging....in the world so vast.your existence matter's...to atleast someone one...your one..amongst many..and your presence..makes a difference..

another thing wud be...
just being able to put a smile on someones face even if it's for two seconds..just makes you feel special inside that someone cud enjoy 2 seconds of their life because of you..i think that's the best feeling in the world...
